About Charles James IV
Writer, Poet, Digital Producer and Creative Mind

headshot in Paris

We are given two eyes to see this one life. Writing provides a window into others’ eyes. I want to capture life in writing so that others can live through it.

My name, Charles James IV, reigns as testament to the generations before me. I am a product of their experiences. I am a product of every moment shared from my small town in Cheverly, MD to the expansive campus of LSU.

I have found poetry as an outlet for the machinations of my mind. I developed poetry books to give insight into what my eyes survey in the world.

As a writer, I yearn to draw more into the shared ecstasy of athletics. The same teams can clash millions of times, yet not one contest will be the same. The bonds I have forged and experiences I have reported on in sports reflect a phenomenon that intoxicates those involved.
